The gift of imagination that children possess must be nurtured carefully if they are to become creative, well-rounded adults. There are many ways to do this, all of them pleasurable. Role- play is one of them.
Role-play can take many different forms and serve as many purposes. As well as feeding the imagination and encouraging empathy, it is a powerful way of developing social skills, and it's never too early to begin.
